Afanti Uyghur Restaurant brings Ireland's first taste of Uyghur cuisine to the heart of Dublin city centre. Founded by sisters Eleanor and Halnur Halmurat, Afanti is a culinary journey along the Silk Road — where the bold spices of Central Asia meet the delicate flavours of the Far East.

At the heart of the menu are hand-pulled laghman noodles, made fresh daily by the sisters' mother, tossed with stir-fried beef and vegetables in a rich, savoury sauce. Signature dishes include smoky kawap (charcoal-grilled lamb skewers), fragrant lamb pilaf with sweet carrots, steamed manti dumplings, and the unmissable samsa — a flaky, oven-baked pastry filled with juicy beef and sweet onion.

Set in a beautifully decorated space on Cavendish Row near Parnell Square, Afanti features an ornate oriental chandelier and handcrafted wall art. Whether you are a seasoned explorer of world cuisine or simply looking for something genuinely different, Afanti delivers a warm, generous dining experience unlike anything else in Ireland
